Group Work
Groups allow children to learn and develop skills by working alongside their peers in a safe facilitated environment. Through regular coaching in groups we can build skills in children. There are great advantages for group work in schools and it can create a network of support for children as school can be their safe space.
Why group work?

-
Group work helps children learn appropriate social, emotional and daily life skills by observing their peers.
-
Enables children to form bonds in a structured environment, with reduced risk of inappropriate negative interactions (teasing, ridicule).
-
Group work encourages the learning to happen in a structured and closely facilitated environment, with pre-determined goals.
-
Group work enables carryover and generalisation of skills to the real world.
